The Wired Word

The Wired Word is a weekly Bible Study/devotional designed to enhance our study and discussions.  In the three week trial this May we discussed topics like the dismissal – and then rehiring – of Fr. Patrick Conroy as Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the “faith and works” story of Capt. Tammie Jo Shults, who successfully landed Southwest Flight 1380 after its engine exploded, and the inclusion of the Bible on a list of books “people should not be compelled to read.”  Each week TWW provides the group leader with two such lessons based directly on current events.  We plan to continue the studies sporadically during the summer and more regularly in Fall.  Chuck LaBerge is leading until we get on a regular basis.  After that, we’ll rotate the facilitation role amongst ourselves.  The lessons come fully prepared, and just require a little individual touch to get the discussion rolling.
