Brushes and the Bible: An Anecdotal Exploration of Faith and Art || Sundays, 11:20am–12:20pm, Nov. 3, Nov. 10, Nov. 17 || Jim Kuhlman – who originally hated Art History – will offer an enlightening series of stories about what changed his mind and attitude. Over the course of three 1-hour meetings, the group will explore details of heard Bible stories within equally familiar sculptures and paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque periods of European Art. It is astonishing how much we have “seen” but not seen within these iconic works of art, as well as how much detail we have missed in the Bible.
