Children's Ministry

At Towson Presbyterian Church

Children aren't merely the church's future, they're a vital part of the church today! We take great care in offering meaningful programs that help children explore the stories of Scripture, the depths of God's love for them, and how their lives are such a tremendous part of God's love story with the world.

Family Music Time

Every Sunday (Ages 0–7)

Children, parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends, are welcome to room 212 every week after worship, 11:30am–12:00pm, to experience the joy of music together. Facilitated by Lorene LaBerge, classes are composed of singing, movement, and instrument play. No RSVP is required, just stop by with your family for 30-minutes! This fall, we will meet starting September 17–December 10, 2024.

Camp BeeTree

Every Summer (Grades K–5th)

At BeeTree Preserve, Camp BeeTree is a weeklong day program for K–5th Graders, with 6th–12th Graders invited to participate as Counselors-in-Training (CITs). For five days, Campers and CITs explore nature, surmount obstacle courses, sing and dance, and make crafts, all while learning about God's love for them. The cost is $225 for church members, or $250 for non-church members. CLICK HERE to see the 2023 Camp BeeTree brochure.

Save-the-Date: Camp BeeTree 2024, July 15–19

Children's Chapel

First Sunday of the Month (Grades K–2nd)

During worship on the first Sunday of every month, Children's Chapel takes the place of Church School. While 3rd–5th Graders remain in the sanctuary to participate in the service with their family, children in grades K–2nd are dismissed to our prayer chapel. This time is designed to be developmentally accesible in order to help children understand the various elements of our worship service.

Our hope is to help form children who grow into teens, and then grow into adults who feel comfortable and connected to God during a typical church service.

Towson Presbyterian Preschool

The church building is filled with life on weekdays as we share space with Towson Presbyterian Preschool. Some TPP families attend TPC on Sundays, and vice versa, and we occasionally come together for events – like the annual "Organ Demo Day" in which children get to see, hear, and sing along with our organ in the sanctuary.
