Live & Learn For Children

Children's Ministries

Children and youth can be found in worship, serving others with acts of kindness, and reaching out to others with welcome and openness.  Children are involved in learning, in and out of the classroom, with adult mentors and role models leading the way.  Our programs are designed to nurture children in their faith, to help them have a relationship with God, and to provide a safe and celebratory environment in which to learn the faith stories. We strive to help children experience the presence of God, embrace a larger world and act with peace and justice, cultivate creativity and imagination, be generous with time and talents, seek the good, celebrate, and simplify their lives

Please follow the links on the right hand side of the page to learn more about the educational, mission and fellowship activities offered to children or contact Sue Thompson, Director of Christian Education for more information.

Special Offerings

WORSHIP FOR ALL

One Sunday a month TPC holds a "Worship For All"  service at 10:00 AM. Younger children will be offered childcare.  Elementary and middle school youth will be active participants in this service and remain with families or teachers for the entire service. This is the perfect time to invite a neighbor to worship with us or for your children to invite their friends.

SHARE YOUR FAITH

We believe that children enjoy attending church school, and their lives are changed by the stories of people called by God and the wonderful role models they encounter each week.  Won't you consider sharing your faith with our children, if not on a weekly basis, then by volunteering on occasion?  Help is needed throughout the summer and then again in the fall. Contact Sue Thompson at the church to discuss your involvement.

For Use At Home:  This spring we have two "at-home" devotional materials to use with your family: Living Lent at Home and Living Easter At Home  We are a "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum church and follow the Lectionary texts each week.  Our church school curriculum dovetails with our worship service themes, and this devotional material complements each week's sermon and worship emphasis.
